Film hakkında

Malkoçoğlu Ali Bey yapmış olduğu bir seferde Homero`nun tutsağı olmuş ve yıllarca işkencelerle dolu bir zindan hayatı yaşamıştır. Sonunda oradan kurtulur. Sevdiği eşinden ve bilmediği çocuğu Polattan ayrı, hayatını at sırtında akıncı reisi olarak sürdürür. Oğlunun akıncı olma isteği, birbirini tanımayan baba ve oğulun buluşmasını sağlar. Onlara bir görev verilmiştir. Fatih Sultan Mehmet`in oğlu ve Malkoçoğlu Ali Beyin kan kardeşi Cem Sultanı, Venediklilerin eline düşürmemek. Bu film, Fatih Sultan Mehmed Han`ın kurdurmuş olduğu, Enderun-ı Hümayün adlı Saray Üniversitesinde yetişen meşhur akıncı Malkoçoğlu Bali Beyin oğlu Malkoçoğlu Ali Beyin hikayesidir. Sofya Sancakbeyliği yapmış, 1514 Çaldıran Savaşında şehit düşmüştür.
