2. Dünya Savaşı sırasında Çöl Savaşının hüküm sürdüğü Kuzey Afrika`da Bir Fransız timi sabotaj yapmak üzere Alman Hatlarının gerisine gönderilir.Ancak görevi yerine getirirlerken komutanlarını kaybeden tim,Eski bir boksör olan Çavuşun kumandasına kalmıştır ve timi yönetmek o kadar da kolay değildir..Bu sırada esir aldıkları bir Alman subayıyla birlikte çölün ortasında benzinleri,suları ve yiyecekleri azalmış bir vaziyette kalırlar..Savaşın yıkıcılığına rağmen ölmeyen insani duyguları anlatan bir film..Özellikle Hardy Kruger diğer filmlerinde olduğu gibi bu filmde de Alman subayı rolünde çok iyi bir oyun çıkarmış...
